CENTRED FITNESS

Centred Fitness is a holistic health and fitness practice located in Mansfield, Brisbane, Queensland.


Led by Will Gardiner, Centred Fitness provides excellence in Naturopathy, Nutrition, Herbalism, Personal Training and Massage Therapy.

This then fuelled Will’s passion of supporting those with a disability and he has continued working as a support worker and personal trainer in the NDIS space ever since. 

 

Will supports both individual participants in the community and in group settings, which are often located in local parks, or at the participants home. He has provided support alongside various registered NDIS providers in Brisbane and Logan, delivering recreational group activities that are fun, engaging and varied. His experience and qualifications in Personal Training means he is able to offer additional support for those who require more formal, structured health and fitness programs if it is stated in their NDIS plan.

 

These services are tailored to support participants engage in social outings and recreational pursuits, or pursue personal training programs that align with their NDIS goals, increase their independence, or reduce future support needs.

 

Will has completed NDIS Quality & Safeguard Commission modules:

 

  • Quality, Safety & You

  • Supporting Effective Communication

  • NDIS Induction

 

He holds a Working with Children Blue Card, Police Check and has up to date First Aid & CPR certificates.

In addition to holistic health services, Will has worked for the past four years supporting NDIS participants both in Core: Accessing Community, Social & Recreational services as a support worker and in Capacity Building: Health & Wellbeing as a Personal Trainer.

 

Will started supporting NDIS participants after he was contacted by a registered NDIS provider who wanted to run group recreational activities for their participants. Due to the various disability support needs, they contracted Will due to his strong background in Health & Fitness as they saw this as a point of difference.

WILL GARDINER

Will takes a long-term, common sense approach to health, by working with the whole person (body, mind and emotions).

 

Will seeks to find and treat the true cause of a health problem while also addressing any other issues to achieve full systemic health. In other words, we do more than only treat symptoms.

 

Any dis-ease is simply the body communicating something to us. Usually it is something we need to change in ourselves and/or our life in order to be more centred and healthier. A good practitioner helps to:

 

  • Interpret the body's signals

  • Give clarity by way of a larger picture or wider view of what may be going on, and

  • Facilitate positive, lasting change.

 

Will believes the body is a miraculous organism completely able to self heal from any health problem given the right opportunity. He continually strives to update his knowledge as a health professional by:

 

  • Completing additional university subjects in nutrition

  • Attending health lectures and seminars

  • Sitting short courses in strength and conditioning

  • Reading books and peer reviewed articles

  • Practising the principles of nutritional medicine in his own life.
